Julie Chen Moonves hosts the popular summer reality show Big Brother, which returned for its 22nd season in August, with CBS.Chen Moonves was one of the original hosts of the Daytime Emmy Award-winning Talk show The Talk, serving as host and moderator from 2010 to 2018. Her true passion was when she began writing her own show and won an Emmy. Also, she was awarded an Emmy for hosting as well as an outstanding comedy talk show. Her background in news made her a natural for the switch into The Talk, which examines current events and problems through the lens of five female hosts.Chen Moonves served as co-host on CBS News' weekday morning broadcast The Early Show from 2002 to 2010. Prior to that, Chen Moonves was the CBS Morning News' anchor, and also the news anchor for The Early Show. After the terrorist attacks on 9/11, Chen Moonves tracked down the father and leader hijacker for a thrilling and exclusive interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. She also spoke with former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news show which featured celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis and Paula Abdul.Prior to The Early Show, Chen Moonves worked as a reporter and anchor for WCBS-TV, the CBS-owned station that was based in New York City (1997-1999).Before joining CBS News, Chen Moonves was a reporter for WDTN TV Dayton (1995-1997). Her previous jobs include working as a reporter with ABC NewsOne, the network's affiliate news channel (1992-1995) and a desk-assistant for the ABC News' Los Angeles Bureau (1990-1991) and all the while completing her final year of college in the University of Southern California. It was her first job in broadcasting as a desk assistant for ABC News' late-night show Nightline featuring Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is still one of the journalists she admires. Chen Moonves worked with Koppel on the Columbia du-Pont-winning premiertime show, Anatomy of a Riot, which examined the 1992 Los Angeles riots.
